Big Beauty Trends for 2019: Diversity and Inclusion

Though we’ve made big strides toward including diversity and inclusion the beauty world, we still have aways to go. The last two years, in particular, have shown the biggest growth in this area. More and more beauty products are popping up that cater to each person’s specific needs, which is a nice change.

Harper Bazaar predicts a rise in lines targeting the needs of skin tones that have too often been neglected. These skin tones include those of color. Dr Barbara Kubicka, aesthetic doctor and founder of Clinicbe, says that “2019 is set to see the launch of new skincare ranges that have been specifically formulated to treat and address the needs of skin of colour”.

You may have seen the foundation that changes to match your skin tone. What an incredible invention! Looking to the future, women of color will hopefully, have products that meet their needs more accessible.
