Hair Trends 2019: Part 7, Glossy Hair

So this trend is a little funny because, let’s face it, we all want glossy hair, like, all the time. No one wants dull hair. Everyone wants their hair to have a beautiful shine. But, now it’s trending, so I guess that means that people are working harder toward that goal? LOL! To that end, we’re here to help you ACHIEVE that goal. We’ve talked about it in the past, but in case you forgot, let’s review some tips on caring for your hair to help keep that shine.

Healthy Hair

Give your hair a break when you can. If you know you aren’t going anywhere or doing anything particularly special, let your hair air dry. Go with its natural form instead of using a hot iron of some kind. Put your hair in a top knot (see Hair Trends 2019: Part 6). In other words, give it a rest! Moreover, your hair is healthiest when it is hydrated! Drink lots and lots of water. Get a deep conditioning treatment. Use hair products that promote hydration.

Shiny Hair

Okay, now that your hair is shiny, let’s talk about making it glow! Even the healthiest of hair could use a little help with making it shine. Kérastase's Elixir Ultime Oil Serum will help you out! Just a few drops of this liquid magic will help your locks shine their brightest. Further, Celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton suggests blow-drying your hair with Color Wow's Dream Coat Spray to lock out frizz. A round brush will help with smoothness.
